Subject: Re: doctor update news

Sorry it took so long to get back. I've been gone for a month to Houston,
Tx. My mother fell and broke her hip and to prevent her from going to a
nursing home someone had to be at home for her. I was elected since I'm
not working of course. This past Mon. I went to the pain doc. that the
neuoro. sent me to for a stellate ganglion block evaluation. I go tomorrow
for the block itself. I pray it helps, but if it does that definetly means
that RSD has set in. I'm pretty scared at this point. I had a deposition
with the company atty. Tues. My atty. said that he is still insisting that
all of my problems are from my car wreck injury to my neck back in 1993.
What bothers me is that I had a full recovery from the neck injury of 2
herniated disks in C5-6 & C6-7. I was very active up to the day I noticed
the numbness, tingling, burning and coldness in the hands, shoulder pain
and neck pain. I would go camping, hiking, fishing, bowling, play pool,
throw darts, work in the garden and even ride a roller coaster. I can
barely wash dishes now. I'm so afraid that my previous neck injury is
going to prevail over the real problem. Even when I went to the 12 docs.
and complained about the numbness, etc. in my hands, they wrote nothing
about that, only severe neck pain. What a mess. Thanks for listening.

Catherine,
I agree with you for fighting for awarness. I have been caught up in my WC
case for 1 1/2 yr. I refuse to give up now. Not only do I have RSI, but
now it has turned into RSD. There is the possibility of the RSD spreading
to my other limbs, which could eventually put me in a wheelchair. I have
told my lawyer that if I have to go to the Supreme Court and battle this
out if it takes me the rest of my life, oh well. Somebody is going to
listen!!!!!!!! Things are going ok now. I had the stellate ganglion block
done Friday and it worked temporary. I doc. did the injection for
diagnostic reasons. Now there is no dispute of whether my injury is from
my previous neck injury or from work. I'll go back next Tues. for another
injection that should last for a couple of months. Good news is the
question is over of if it happened at work. When this is all said and
done, I'm going public in this city I live in to help the people here aware
of what RSI can do to a person.

Subject: ganglion block

Just wanted ya'll know that I had my second block today for the RSD. I had
a bad reaction to it. I can barely swallow and my voice is gone. The doc.
said that he probably missed the correct site and most of the medicine went
to my vocal cord. I've decided I will not have another one done. I will
not be a genuie pig for anything especially in this town. This is doc. 14
and now I'm really scared. I think I will try to get to Houston, Tx
(that's where I'm from) and get so real help. He said at least it didn't
go in my main artery. I could then have seizures and possible infection in
the brain. Sounds fun, huh? Not me. I just pray that the RSD doesn't
start to spread before I can financially afford to move.

Thanks for listening!!!
